Cancer Research UK campaigns to raise awareness of cancer, make changes in law and increase investment in cancer research. We can only do this with the support of volunteers. We are looking for more volunteers to help us achieve more successes (we have already introduced plain tobacco packaging, laws to protect young people from sunbeds, increased investment in radiotherapy services).
What will you get out of it? Being a Campaigns Ambassador gives you demonstrable skills and experience. Learn how to engage and meet with your MLA. Train alongside likeminded people to put cancer at the top of the political agenda. Increase your awareness of cancer and policy, and put your influencing skills to the test. We have a team of expert campaigners to support you in your role, and you’ll receive training, advice and materials.
This is a flexible, home-based volunteering role, which can fit around your current commitments. To find out if the role is right for you, download our role profile and apply on our website to take part www.cruk.org.uk/ambassadors.
