Fairfield Community Sports Hub is working in partnership with Home Energy Scotland with the aim of helping the community to be more energy efficient and to help to reduce fuel poverty. Volunteers will help to promote energy efficiency by engaging with the community in a friendly and informal manner, providing information on easy ways to reduce energy use and fuel bills and by demonstrating through using equipment energy use and easy ways to reduce this.

Volunteers will also take information on and complete surveys on behalf of community members in order to measure the impact this advice has on energy efficiency and reducing fuel bills. Volunteers will receive City and Guilds Green Credentials training and bespoke training with Home Energy Scotland as well as ongoing training to allow up-to-date knowledge to be passed on. All training and events will be at no cost to volunteers. In return, volunteers will have the opportunity to gain accredited training, will be given the chance to meet like-minded individuals, have fun and learn new skills.
