Holly Stewart – Saltire Summit

Volunteer Holly Stewart will be awarded a Saltire Summit Award at this year’s Youth Volunteering Awards for her hard-work at Link Up.

Holly goes above and beyond in her volunteer role through her committed and enthusiastic nature. She often arrives at Link Up an hour before her role officially begins, leaves long after her duties are over, and pops in regularly throughout the week to offer help with other projects and groups. When it comes to projects and events, Holly is always one of the first to lend a hand and provide fresh, creative ideas to better the lives of the young people in her community.

Some of the projects Holly has assisted with include- Link Up’s dance group, Christmas Fayre and Talent Show, as well as their pilot dance project in care homes over the summer. Her involvement with Link Up has been a massive inspiration to other young people involved; where her friendly and enthusiastic personality has encouraged many young people to get more involved, and return every week.
