Jordan Teale – Saltire Summit
Youth Group Volunteer Jordan Teale from the Dundee and Angus ADHD Support Group has been successful in achieving a Saltire Summit Award.
Jordan has provided an outstanding contribution to the Dundee and Angus ADHD Support Group by using his own experience of ADHD and ASD to deal with challenging situations. For instance, his understanding of ADHD and ASD has allowed him to help understand, control and talk to younger children in the group going through difficult situations. He has also been able to share strategies and ideas that he has learnt over the years that have since helped some children cope better.
Jordan’s activities include supporting the children in the art room, volunteering at events such as fashion shows, art exhibitions and holiday activity weeks and being involved in the Taybank community garden. As the oldest member of Dundee and Angus ADHD Support Group’s Saltire Awards Team, he shows true leadership in the way he conducts himself when volunteering in the youth groups. Jordan has nearly volunteered for 750 hours during his 4 years with the charity and is overall a well-respected role model.
Congratulations on your Saltire Summit Award Jordan!
