Would you like to learn new skills, gain experience, build confidence and try new things? Join the Alternatives Dundee team as their Youth Volunteer.
This is an opportunity for a young person to get a hands on experience of the work that happens at Alternatives Dundee. The Youth Volunteer will be involved in various aspects of the service with activities including helping create and develop resources, helping with administration/ office activities, organisation and taking part in a youth steering group, enhancing Alternatives social media presence/publicity and assisting and supporting workshops, presentations and training events.
Willing to be enthusiastic and get involved in various aspects of the organisation. Passionate in young people having their voices heard on opinions that matter to them. Would be helpful if the volunteer was skilled in media skills e.g. using social media, posting videos on website.
Volunteers will be given training necessary to the role and using resources in the organisation. This is done internally but if training opportunities interest the volunteer externally this can be arranged.
Alternatives Dundee are offering 2 placements for this role. One short term placement of 6 weeks and the other a longer term, ongoing role.
Minimum age for these roles is 12.
