Ye Amphibious Ancients Bathing Association are a voluntary organisation with Scottish Charity status that are committed to the teaching and coaching of all ages of people to achieve their potential and further their passion for open-water swimming.

As part of YeAABA’s executive committee the treasurer plays a key role in the club through being responsible for the club’s finances.

The treasurer will be responsible for maintaining financial records of income and expenditure; liaise with other committee members as required; providing monthly financial reports for executive and monthly management committee meetings; providing guidance to the wider committee on availability and timing for spending for the benefit of the club members; maintain cashflow through meeting payments in a timely manner; prepare annual financial statements for annual general meeting and independent examination; prepare annual statements for submissions to HMRC for Gift Aid.

The role of treasurer will require good IT and presentation skills. Experience with Microsoft Office, in particular Excel, would be an advantage. An understanding of the basic principles of Book-keeping, a financial interest and an understanding of the responsibilities of Charity Trusteeship would be essential for this role.
