Dundee Dragons Wheelchair Club SCIO exists to provide active wheelchair sporting opportunities for people of all ages and abilities, from across Tayside. We have children, young people and adults taking part in up to 9 hours of wheelchair sport each week. The sports we offer include Wheelchair Rugby, Wheelchair Rugby League, Wheelchair Basketball, Wheelchair Curling, Wheelchair Tennis and Wheelchair Badminton.

Dundee Dragons would like to take on a volunteer Wheelchair Basketball Coach and also a Wheelchair Rugby League Coach. Duties for each role will include developing athletes, programme development, improving the performance of the team in competitions, increasing the number of club athletes and coaches representing Scotland, liaise with governing bodies & associations, help develop coaches, grass roots development and working with other volunteers.

Coaching will take place at Dundee and Angus College Gardyne Campus, Gardyne Road Dundee DD5 1NY. The College is in Broughty Ferry so reasonable out of pocket expenses will be met with relevant receipts provided. Minimum age for role – 16. Volunteer should have excellent communication, organisational & supervisory skills. Leadership, initiative & passion for sport. Willingness to travel including weekends.

All volunteers will be provided with support during their initial introduction to club activities and will be able to experience at first hand the activities provided. Travel expenses reimbursed.  Time commitment 2 to 4 hours per week.
